OUR PRACTICETRE Architecture has a rich history of over 55 years that began in 1967 when Amato Teta established his architectural practice in San Diego after completing his studies at Carnegie Mellon University. The practice gained popularity through successful projects of all sizes, leading to many repeat clients. Allan Teta followed in his father's footsteps by graduating from the University of Southern California School of Architecture. After gaining broad experiences with other award-winning firms, Allan teamed up with his father in 2006 to establish Teta Architecture, Inc. Building upon the many accomplishments thus far, TRE Architecture was founded in early 2014
Meaning of TRE
Derived from the Italian translation of the number three, TRE is not only a meaningful term, but also a nod to the founder's Italian heritage. The number three has significant importance in the earliest known written work on the topic of architecture. According to the Roman architect Vitruvius, a well-designed building should fulfill the three principles of utilitas (commodity), firmitas (firmness), and venustas (delight). Amato Teta
Amato is one of the founding principals of TRE Architecture. He has over 50 years of experience in the field and has successfully completed projects of all sizes. Before starting TRE Architecture, Amato worked as Amato Teta, Architect for 35 years. During this time, he built up his practice and established a loyal customer base.
Amato also has a General Contractor background, allowing him to approach projects from both an architectural and construction standpoint.
When Amato is not working, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his four delightful granddaughters.
Allan Teta
Allan is a co-founder of TRE Architecture and has over 30 years of experience in all phases of the design and construction process. He is committed to a comprehensive design and management strategy for each project and is deeply involved in all aspects of it.
Allan works closely with clients and the design team to develop valuable solutions and unique creations.
When not working, Allan enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their Boston Terriers. Soccer, travel, and photography are Allan’s other passions. He loves planning adventures for his family to make unforgettable memories.
Kourtney Camy
Kourtney discovered her love for Interior Design while traveling the globe. During her Interior Architecture courses, she studied abroad several times and found a deep connection between the beauty of our earth and design aesthetics.
Kourtney has seven years of professional experience in passionately creating interior spaces that are not only beautiful but also captivating and inviting.
During her free time, Kourtney loves exploring new restaurants and adventuring with her loyal Rottweiler companion.
Ricardo Dengel Mestres
Ricardo grew up in Mexico and has Catalan heritage. His fascination with diverse cultures and languages prompted him to travel across Europe. While studying in Barcelona, he found his calling in architecture after visiting Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia. With eight years of professional practice, Ricardo aims to design architecture that elicit personal and emotional experiences.
Outside of TRE Architecture Ricardo is at the gym or playing pick-up basketball. Rumor has it that he's a total pool shark too.
